What's happening at Kali Center beginning January 2019? I'm getting a lot of questions about where all the training is going and here I'm going to answer everything.
2019 is the start of a new era for Kali Center. The team and I have put a lot of thought into the direction I want to take Kali Center (which we are calling the "Kali Center Evolution"). The new year will bring many new great experiences to our students all over the world.
In 2019 a lot of changes for the better are occurring. We are yet again raising the bar and changing the standard of Kali training and the teaching of martial arts. There's NO holding back.
Let's begin where most find Kali Center, YouTube, and I'll build progression from there...
New video format coming to YouTube in 2019. I'll still be uploading instructional and motivational videos along with new videos we are calling the TEST series, Weapon and Training Gear Reviews, and more Team Vlogs with behind the scenes footage. We want to give you the BEST Kali experience on YouTube.
TEST Series: We're going to be putting everything to the test from weapons, to techniques. No more guessing what works and what doesn't.
REVIEW Series: I'll be personally reviewing knives, bolos, and training gear and giving you my personal opinion on everything. Let me know if there is something specific you'd like for me to review.
TEAM VLOGS Series: Get to know the KC Team at a more personal level. Travel with us to classes, seminars, staff retreats and more with behind the scenes you never get to see normally.

In my experience Deep Blue is way better and more effective than tiger balm. It not only provides soothing benefits for sore, aching muscles and strains it also contains healing properties that get deep into the source of the problem.
This stuff really does cut down my healing and recovery time literally in half!
If you're looking for a new muscle and tendon soreness relief solution then give Deep Blue a try.
It's Kali Center approved!

What a great meet up we had this year. We had attendees from all over come and train with the Kali Center team. It was a great opportunity to meet our online students, friends and fans!
What did we cover at the Meet Up? A LOT!
We worked single stick drills, double stick drills, Kali flow drills, disarms, footwork, empty hands technics and tactical applications, close quarter knife drills, techniques and applications and got lots of flow training time in.
We had attendees of all levels from advanced to never before done a single day of Kali. Everyone left the meet up with new knowledge, new skills and a big smile which means the KC Team did a job well done.
Each year I take the Kali Center staff on a nature retreat for adventure and training. This year we voyaged off to the Badlands of South Dakota. It's a beautiful and tough terrain. A desert in the middle of rich grasslands.
I use these retreats for a couple of reasons.
1. Because my team deserves them and is a great way for us to strengthen our bond further
2. To reflect on the past year's events and to clear our minds and get ready to tackle the next extension of the Kali
3. and of course to explore and train developing our own skills further.
Here is a short highlights video of some of the hiking and training from the trip I'm sure you'll enjoy...
A couple weeks ago the Kali Center team and I were invited to perform Kali at the Daley Center in Chicago for the 15th Asian American Festival. I want to thank Rose Tibayan for coordinating our performance and the rest of the coordinators and team for putting on this super awesome fest!
After the demo we were invited to the VIP after party where even more performances took place. It was great meeting so many people and making many new friends and we look forward to performing our Kali at the next event!
Check out the video we got of the demo! Watch Here

I'm always looking for new ways to make the Kali Center experience even better for our members and fans. I'm now going to be filming a New Kali Training and Workout series that will be corresponding with my Monthly Training Schedule!
Since I've already emailed out literally hundreds of copies of my "Monthly Training Schedule" and they've been a huge hit, I'm now going to be adding videos for you to follow and know exactly what I'm doing and what you should be training too!
I want to take a moment to publicly recognize Tom Zachwieja’s 7 years of dedication as my student in the martial arts. He has been through a serious journey and I’m confident in saying that the journey will continue.
Tom is the example of the perfect student. He has the most hours spent in training with me in classes, privately and training camps. Tom has traveled and explored the world of Kali and other martial arts along side me now for 7 years. His commitment, dedication, effort and persistence needs to be recognized.
