Ad Veritatum Naviga

A Brief Introduction to "Ad Veritatum Naviga"

Picture
"Ad Veritatum Naviga" is my own personal study on the sword, arms and martial arts. It has never been my intention to study a solitary culture, system or style of martial arts but, rather to discover my own true skill through research, study and exploration, to "sail to truth."

For the past eight years, Kali Center has been funding my own further personal study of the blade. Ad Veritatum Naviga is as I describe a continuously growing and evolving study and is my life's dedication. This is not intended to necessarily preserve any specific knowledge or way and rather serve as my own exploration.

AVN is not just about the sword and martial arts. It is a vehicle intended to sail to all truths of the individual in practice so the practitioner may navigate their life and create their own destiny with it. It is my belief that the sword gives the individual the precedence to achieve their true life rather than a life.

Naturally, AVN system stems from my learnings from teachers and resources mainly from Filipino, Spanish and Italian sword arts, (so far.) My influences in the Filipino Martial Arts mainly come from my first Escrima teachers and teachers Tim Waid (of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali), Roy Harris (in Kalis Ilustrisimo and other FMA and Martial Arts), in the Espadín (Spanish Small Sword) by the works of Don Manuel Antonio De Brea (1805), Rada and Thibault, along with others. None of these being with the intention to preserve any of these individual workings but, instead explore and find answers within my own training and skill.

The system of AVN must be transferrable to all swords and weaponry designed for both thrust and cut tactics as the principles must also be transferrable outside of the sword and martial arts.

Up until now, this training has been only reserved for private and in person instruction/training. As exploits continues forward we are now opening instruction and training to a more public sector. Please understand, Ad Veritatum Naviga is NOT Filipino Martial Arts, Spanish or Italian martial arts in anyway. This is a multi-cultural systemized study.

As some have expressed confusion over Kali Center, there are two sectors within KC, Filipino Martial Arts (FMA,) what I direct to the more general public and Ad Veritatum Naviga (AVN,) my personal study and what I've been teaching in private.
