For each of my Warm Ups I always include the following...
- Dynamic Stretches
- Basic Body Weight Exercises
- Light Static Stretches
- Stick Warm Up Drills
- Footwork Drills
- Breathing and Centering
Always break a sweat before doing deep static stretching to prevent muscle and tendon tearing. End each deep stretch routine and intense Martial Arts training session with a quick dynamic stretch routine to prevent next day muscle soreness.
Remember, Skill is developed in incremental progression. Be patient, stay focused and have fun!
